1. Introduction
This policy explains what information MaxwellMade collects when you visit this website, contact me or buy something, and what I do with it. MaxwellMade is a one-person shop run by Max in Minnesota. I collect as little as I can, and I never sell your information.
2. Information I Collect
When you contact me. If you use the contact form, I receive your name, your email address and anything you include in your message, such as the type of piece, wood preference or budget.
When you buy something. Checkout is handled by Square. Square collects your payment details, shipping address, email and phone number to process the order, and shares with me what I need to fill it: your name, shipping address, email and what you ordered. I never see or store your full card number.
When you browse. The site uses Framer’s built-in analytics, which count visits without cookies and without storing your IP address. They may estimate which country a visit came from.
3. How I Use Your Information
I use your information to answer your messages and custom order requests, to process, ship and follow up on your orders, and to keep basic records for taxes and bookkeeping. Site analytics are only looked at in aggregate, to understand how people use the site.
I won’t add you to a mailing list or send you marketing emails unless you ask me to.
4. Sharing Your Information
I don’t sell or rent your information. I share it only with the services that help run the shop: Square, which processes payments and orders; Framer, which hosts this website and delivers contact form messages to my email; my email provider, which stores our conversations; and shipping carriers, which need your name and address to deliver your package.
I may also share information if the law requires it.
5. Cookies & Tracking
This site doesn’t use advertising or tracking cookies, and Framer’s analytics are cookie-free. Square’s checkout pages may use their own cookies, which are covered by Square’s Privacy Notice.
Because I don’t track you across other websites, the site doesn’t change its behavior in response to “Do Not Track” browser signals.
6. Children’s Privacy
This site isn’t directed to children under 13, and I don’t knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has sent me their information, contact me and I’ll delete it.
7. Your Choices & Rights
You can ask me at any time to show you the information I have about you, correct it or delete it. Just send me a message and I’ll take care of it. Some order records may need to be kept for tax purposes, and I’ll let you know if that applies.
8. How Long I Keep It
I keep contact form messages for as long as I need them to answer you or finish a custom order. Order records are kept for as long as tax and bookkeeping rules require.
